In Ladybirds this week the boys have loved making their own pirate swords. The boys had to use the strength in their fingers to manipulate the paper to a particular shape to look like a sword. The boys were very impressed with the finished products!
Our new topic in class is pirates and princesses. We have really enjoyed exploring our new areas of the classroom. This has included a pirate roleplay area where we can dress up and a small world area. Some boys have loved making "objects" for a pirate to use such as treasure chests or boats.
This week we have loved being outside in the sunny weather. We have been doing lots of arts and craft activities.
Our children and parents loved stay and play this week. We had fun playing with numbers and shapes. We also learnt how to use our new app "mathletics".
Today it was our chicks last day at school. Mr Tandy our caretaker has taken our chicks home to look after them. We had one last cuddle before they went. We received a special certificate for looking after the chicks.
We were very excited about being able to hold our chicks this week as they are much stronger. They are starting to grow feathers.
Our new outdoor area is being set up. Our children are having fun exploring the different resources outside. Please take a look at our pictures.
